RIVERSIDE - William "Uncle Bill" Anderson, 53, of Riverside passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Community Hospital, Watervliet.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the Davidson Chapel of Florin Funeral Service, 249 E. Center St., Coloma with Pastor Bradford Payne officiating. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens in Hagar Shores with military rites. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bill was born Dec. 26, 1956, in Portsmouth, Va. He was much loved by his extended family and friends. Bill proudly served his country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. His home was always open to children of all ages, and he would "give the shirt off his back to anyone in need." Bill was proud to be part of the M.M.P. movement. Most of all, Bill will be remembered as a great husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle and friend. He would always say "keep your stick on the ice."

Bill is survived by his wife, Leora, or as he would say his other half, his parents, Harold and Gladys Noack of Riverside, whom he truly adored and loved; his grandmother, Mary Jane Sheets of Smith County, Va.; one brother, John Wallace of Indianapolis; one son, Nathan Anderson of Coloma; one daughter, Christine (Nick) Brown of Three Oaks; grandchildren, Vanessa and Joshua Brown; and his crazy and loving extended family, who all made him so truly happy.

Uncle Bill is now at home and is at peace with his cousin, Ronnie, Uncle Vick, and many other family and friends who preceded him in death.
